MassBays fulfills its mission by providing technical support and funding to its communities in order to improve conditions in the estuaries and embayments within the MassBays study area. Technical support to local efforts is mainly provided by our Regional Coordinators who work closely with their communities and through active collaborations with state, regional, and federal partners.

MassBays continues to develop several resources to assist communities in achieving their goals and improve the conditions of the bays. Such resources include funding through the small grants program, funding for larger projects through the recent BIL grants, development of tools to assist watershed groups in making available the results of their monitoring programs to their audience as well as tools to track estuarine ecosystem health, and development of tech transfer materials, including publications, about various topics that enhance our understanding of the estuarine watersheds and coastal environment.
