MassBays is one of 28 NEPs within the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s National Estuary Program, a joint local/state/federal program established under the Clean Water Act to protect and enhance nationally significant estuarine resources. MassBays receives funding from the EPA. MassBays is a Center within the School for the Environment at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
